Custom Pattern

The following textures were previously available in LiveDB, but have been directly integrated to make life easier.

Chainmail

This texture creates a repeating circle pattern that resembles chainmail. There are two options and two inputs:

  • Ring Radius — The radius of the circle. This option effectively controls the overall pattern.

  • Ring Width — The width of the circle. Smaller values will produce thinner circles.

  • Transform — Controls the Translation, Scale and Rotation of the pattern, as determined by the projection.

  • Projection — Determines the method used to apply the texture to the surface. For more information, see the Projection topic.

Color Squares

This texture produces an organized pattern of colored squares, which resemble a graphic diamond shape, such as that seen on playing cards. There are no controls for the colors or sizes of the pattern. There are two inputs:

  • Transform — Controls the Translation, Scale and Rotation of the pattern, as determined by the projection.

  • Projection — Determines the method used to apply the texture to the surface. For more information, see the Projection topic.

Flakes

This texture produces a randomized pattern of filled circles, which randomly overlap, creating a flaked appearance. There are four options and two inputs:

  • Base Color — The background color of the texture.

  • Flakes size — The size of the circles used to create the flakes.

  • Flakes size variance — A randomizing factor for the flakes size, limited by the Flakes size value.

  • Blend Factor — The blend of the Base color to the flakes. Default is 0.5. A value of 0 produces no blend at all, and a value of 1 removes the flakes, leaving just the Base color.

  • Transform — Controls the Translation, Scale and Rotation of the pattern, as determined by the projection.

  • Projection — Determines the method used to apply the texture to the surface. For more information, see the Projection topic.

Fractal

This texture produces a fractal pattern. There are no options for this texture. There are two inputs:

  • Transform — Controls the Translation, Scale and Rotation of the pattern, as determined by the projection.

  • Projection — Determines the method used to apply the texture to the surface. For more information, see the Projection topic.

Glowing Circle

This texture produces a circle with a blend, resembling a halo-like glow. There are two options and two inputs:

  • Radius — The radius of the circle.

  • Line Width — The width of the line of the circle, inclusive of the blended glow.

  • Transform — Controls the Translation, Scale and Rotation of the pattern, as determined by the projection.

  • Projection — Determines the method used to apply the texture to the surface. For more information, see the Projection topic.

Hagleslag

This texture produces a monochrome "candy sprinkles" pattern made of randomly-scattered, rounded cylindrical shapes. There are five options and two inputs:

  • Density — The amount of sprinkles in an area.

  • Random seed — The randomization seed value, which controls the rotation of the cylindrical shapes.

  • Sprinkle radius — The radius of the rounded cylinders.

  • Sprinkle length — The length of the rounded cylinders.

  • Mask texture — The texture that appears inside of the rounded cylinders. The cylinders act as a mask to reveal the texture beneath (if present).

  • Transform — Controls the Translation, Scale and Rotation of the pattern, as determined by the projection.

  • Projection — Determines the method used to apply the texture to the surface. For more information, see the Projection topic.

Iridescent

There are 12 options and two inputs:

  • Base color — The lowest/background color used in the iridescent gradient.

  • Primary color — The first color of the gradient.

  • Secondary color — The second color of the gradient.

  • Tertiary color — The third color of the gradient.

  • Thickness — The thickness of the gradient. Changing this value will scroll through the gradient colors.

  • Thickness scale — This value will change the gradient with more precision than the thickness alone. If the scale of the this value is 0, the Thickness value will have no effect.

  • Iridescence exponent — This value will change how the colors in the gradient are processed.

  • Frequency — The amount of iterations (repeats) in the gradient.

  • Noise Frequency — The amount of noise added to the gradient. More noise will obfuscate the color transitions of the gradient, making them less noticeable.

  • Noise scale — The scale of the noise. If this value is zero, there will be no noise on the gradient.

  • Period offset — This will change the starting point of the gradient.

  • Iridescent weight — This value will increase or decrease the strength of the iridescence gradient.

  • Transform — Controls the Translation, Scale and Rotation of the pattern, as determined by the projection.

  • Projection — Determines the method used to apply the texture to the surface. For more information, see the Projection topic.

Moire Mosaic
